Formed as a joint venture, between Oilfields Supply Centre (OSC) (60%) and Dresser Industries (40%), the Company was established to supply Drilling Fluids and Engineering services to customers in Oman and the United Arab Emirates and has since expanded to encompass a number of other countries, and today provides both fluids and solids control services to over 40 rigs throughout the Middle East from a number of strategic locations, whilst supplying products to operations in both Africa and Asia from the logistics hub in Dubai.

Over the years, the Company has evolved, as Dresser Industries became M-I SWACO and the company name was changed in 2002 to MI Gulf Services LLC. During the same period MIGS evolved, and the range of products and services grew in parallel to M-I SWACO, along with the countries where these services were provided.

In 2009 it was mutually agreed between the Board of M-I SWACO and the Board of Oilfields Supply Centre, that commencing January 1st 2010, MI Gulf Services should become a wholly owned subsidiary of Oilfields Supply Centre, whilst continuing to provide similar and expanded drilling fluid services as per the previous 30+ years.

Utilizing a world class QHSE Management system, MIGS ensures that all our staff are thoroughly, and continuously trained, and committed to ensuring that QHSE is their number one priority. The Company is certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007.

MI Gulf Services is headquartered in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai, UAE, in the Oilfields Supply Centre, providing Drilling and Completion Fluids, Engineering Services, Solids Control Equipment and Environmental Waste Management Services and Equipment, utilizing a staff of over 300 people based throughout the Middle East.
